Where It All Began
Where It All Began
Back in 2023, I developed an interest in locomotives and associated railway miscellany. Previously, I was interested in buses and coaches as a primary core interest. This interest has not dissipated but has 'taken a back seat' for me to pursue other interests. With my best friend and my Wife by my side on the majority of visits, I am quickly learning about the railways and continue my enthusiasm to learn more.

A very pleasant surprise on my most recent visit to Eastleigh was 35028 'Clan Line'.
With the ever approaching end of steam and diesel, it is almost incumbent on enthusiasts to capture photographs of steam and diesel that will one day be consigned to the history books.
My main passion is steam and Diesel. The electric era is something that I enjoy, but prefer steam and diesel over electric.
On Tuesday 9th July 2024, I observed and photographed 701008, a new Bombardier (Alstom) Arterio which was enjoyable, but I am still uncertain as to what opinion I have of the new units.
Below are two photographs of Bombardier (Alstom) Arterio 701008.

With an array of 158 units both at Redbridge and Eastleigh it was pleasant to observe them in semi South West Trains livery, a real nod to their history. Below are some examples of the photographs taken.
