Southampton Docks Visit


On Friday 30th August 2024, my good friend Dave Hill visited Southampton Docks and managed to capture some excellent photographs of miscellaneous vehicles. There were buses, coaches, trucks and Cunard Queen Mary 2.

  Class 158 and 159 Diesel Multiple Units (Sprinters) - GWR/SWR A focus on my favourite passenger Diesel Multiple Unit trains. The Class 158 and 159 units within SWR and GWR will be the primary focus for this page. The  Class  158/159 units were trialled between 1984 and 1985.   Trucks of the United Kingdom Trucks have a long history of being a vital component in logistics and haulage. Names like Eddie Stobart and British Road Services are known by almost everyone and have been important in their roles of providing haulage and/or logistics for many different customers. Within this post we will be taking a look at the history of Eddie Stobart and other hauliers. Bristol - Tuesday 6th May 2025

Bristol Visit A visit was made to Bristol to observe the buses and trucks in the area. We visited the city centre and then Poplar Way for the Culina Depot. On the return journey home, we were aware of a Class 66 freight train passing Sherrington Lane which we quickly caught up with to photograph. Stagecoach - 11233 - SN69 ZDP in Horsefair, Bristol City Centre.
